Malibu California Vintage Wedding Photography – Sophie & Harvey

Hey There!!

Today’s wedding featured post is on a couple we absolutely adore. You might remember them from their whimsical engagement session we shot in the Hollywood Hills of California a few months ago (click here to see it) and now came the time for their gorgeously dreamy, timeless vintage wedding in Malibu California at the Historic Adamson House. Sophie and Harvey are so obviously head over heels in love, and it was so much fun to watch them go through the phases of their once in lifetime day giggling and smiling.
They tied the knot under a huge tree on the lawn near the Adamson House, by one of the most respectfully entertaining and moving officiants we’ve seen. The ceremony was more than just words, or common gestures and rituals. It was about the couple, and about the love between them bonding them together forever…truly awesome, and reminds us why we do what we do, or maybe even better, why Bethany and I got married…It may sound cliche, but when you find the person you’re meant to be with, your world changes, and life becomes sweeter…ok, ok, enough blabbering from me about “love…haha…so, where was I…oh yes, the reception. Partying at the reception on what we learned are very expensive and irreplaceable historic Spanish tile (pretty snazzy huh) was fun! They had a full bar, ice cream bar, and delicious cake, dance moves that make me feel like I need some serious practice, or at least glad I’m there to document only, haha.

Malibu, is so beautiful on it’s own, but this wedding really made us love it more.

Can’t wait to share more weddings and sessions with you guys soon, as well as some pretty exciting news about our photography future ๐Ÿ™‚
Cheers, High Fives, and Thanks for the support!

Check out their “Mini-Movie” wedding film below…really tells the “story” of their day, and also has a song I wrote playing in the background, so thats fun..haha..

Romantic Anniversary Vow Renewal in Washington, DC – Maria & Adam

Hidy Folks!

Today’s wedding is so sweet and unique. It’s Maria and Adam’s 10 year anniversary vow renewal (wedding) outside of Washington DC in Fredricksburg Virginia. Maria being a photographer herself planned a beautiful second wedding day. We loved every minute with this couple (and there cute kids) and following them through the phases of the day. We started at the Kenmore Inn where they re-tied the knot in a gorgeous courtyard ceremony surrounded by family and friends, then we headed of the the AMAZING Historic Chatham Manor in downtown Fredricksburg…the gardens, the house, the statues, O-M-Golly!! Seriously the apex of southern charm and historical perfection…Anywho, Maria had 3 dresses (which she cutely was embarrassed to have and use) but they were all so cute, different and cool how could you not wear them all! haha

by far the best thing was the pinata that the kids waked candy out of at the reception. I wish every reception for every age had a pinata. so much fun.

Hope you guys dig, and thank ya for read’n and lookin’ ๐Ÿ˜‰

and, here’s a look into their day via our “Mini-Movie”

Elegant & Unique Toronto Canada Wedding Photography – Danielle & Tyler

Hey Everyone!

We’ve been so excited to share this, and loved everything about this elegant and unique rustic barn themed wedding outside Toronto Canada, They had an awesome ceremony under a huge Oak and Willow tree, and rode a classic car to the reception in the old Barn all decked out with elegant table scapes, soft toned flower arrangements, along with an awesome Polaroid “sign in” table and Bloody Mary bar to get you ready for the reception.

But, before all that we drove out 2hr from Toronto to Danielle and Tyler’s location. A super cool Mill farm meets Barn with all the class and elegance a wedding needs, but still all the interesting timeless vintage type pieces to make it interesting. Ex: an old Iron tractor wheel for a chandelier, kind’of working fire truck and our favorite, the old bulb lit LOVE sign at the reception area. Plus more you’ll see from the photos below of course….

So, fun things and interesting tidbits:
When we first pulled up to Tyler’s (the Groom) home, we said our normal howdy’s, etc.. then a simple “hey dude, you kinda look like Ryan Gosling” which turned into a running joke we had no idea about, and a lot of fun through out the day ๐Ÿ™‚ and Danny btw…jeepers creepers what a gorgeous girl, and bride….their future children are destine to be heartbreakers, haha

Probably most personally interesting was this…The Toronto area wedding was a blast, but the only problem was….We had to drive 9hrs to New Jersey to get to the wedding we had the next afternoon!!! So, we left Danny and Tyler (Ryan Gosling) at 10pm and drive 9hrs to NJ, going over Niagara Falls in the dark (bummer) and slept 4hrs once we made it to the hotel….Woke up, and got right back at it for a knock out of a time with some super sweet folks and their wedding, or at least that’s what we think we remember happening in our near delirious mental state…haha. ๐Ÿ˜‰

High Five and See ya soon, for another super fun post!
