Linda & James – Courthouse love in Las Vegas

Hi There Pals!

Hope everyone had a Fantastic Fourth of July!!! We did for sure, and finally caught up on some working out, napping, hanging out by some water, and eating tons of ice cream while working on all our weddings from last week. 🙂 We also found out that our dogs are seriously opposed to independence day, particularly the loud booming of fireworks! haha, they tried to attack them (which is impossible as we all know) so they ran in the street, and jumped up barking every single time, ugh…ha…So, Now to the actual purpose of our blog Weddings.

Welcome to part 1 of our Las Vegas wedding with Linda & James. We met L&J the day before the Ceremony/Reception at Caesar’s Palace to go to the courthouse in Downtown Las Vegas to document their “official” lawful hitch’n!! We took a limo to the courthouse and then to the historic downtown strip for a few mins, super fun. Enjoy the mini session before our big blog post on their actual wedding.
Hope everyone is doing Great, and thanks for following!

Elise & Matt – Vintage Mississippi Wedding Photography

Hello Friends,

This couple was amazing! Their sweetness, and our swooning over them started as soon as we arrived at our hotel. We were greeted with a gift basket full of everything we love, whiskey (spot on for me – whitney), candy, Mississippi State brand Cheese and Sweet potato Coffee, and other snacks…AWESOME huh!! The next day was even better. Me and Bethany got a quick 3 mile run in around the campus of Mississippi State, then headed to Elise and Matt’s wedding in Kilmichael, MS. Kilmichael is the tiniest town I’ve ever been to. We literally drove in and drove out in 45 seconds! haha They got hitched at a little place called the Knox House, which was perfect for a southern vintage wedding. The “Knox House” had a series of perfectly decorated houses to use as changing areas, reception/dining hall, and ceremony location. But, our favorite part was the Bride and Groom!! They were so sweet and welcoming that we were/are like old friends immediately!! We bonded over our loves of music, photography, and even our old pal Harry Potter, haha..which mostly was them humoring me with conversation about it (really just me gushing and talking about how cool “HP” etc…is for about 20mins). After our meet and greet at the location, it was time to actually get to the wedding day festivities 🙂 But instead of me blabbing about it, how about we take a look 😉

Make sure to watch the video at the bottom or visit it at our Vimeo page.

Thanks for reading/viewing!! (our Las Vegas E-session and Wedding with Linda & James is next, so stay tuned!)

This is…by far….the cutest picture…EVER!

Home made jam’s!! Yum yum yum!

“The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” – Super8mm Video

Hidy There Friends!

If you’ve followed us much, you know that we LOVE a few things dearly…Music, Photography, Cake, and HARRY POTTER!!!! haha And we went back to “the Wizarding World of Harry Potter” in Orlando, FL again today before our wedding in Gainesville, FL tomorrow….Needless to say, we had a BLAST and love it there! We had a couple servings of Butterbeer and Hog’s Head micro-brews, and rode all the rides walking around in wonder and excitement. We brought Along our ipad and created a little video for you guys to check out so it can be like we all were there together 🙂 This was our first time using the ipad as a “video camera” and part editor, and we LOVE how cool it came out!! You can check out our post on our first trip HERE that we did on our little pocket point&shoot Canon almost a year ago.

For hyper nerds like us, you almost get chill bumps when you first walk in. It feels SO real and like you’re in the movie. While we were there a pretty bad storm came through. Tons of lightning and black clouds….felt like the Dark Lord was coming haha! It really was spooky…for a wand-less muggle I guess 😉 Made a pit stop at the restroom and guess who was there?…Moaning Myrtle!! Wanted to take the iPad in there and get some audio of her talking, but thought we might creep some people out! haha On to Honeydukes….who has the most amazing candy ever! If you ever go you need to get the Dolly Mixture candy. Words can not describe how delicious it is, or they also have chocolate frogs which I hear are equally as good. Just stay away from the Bernie Bott’s Every Flavored Beans. Those things are no joke! Got a puke flavored one before and a grass flavored one and let me tell you….they taste too real. Yuck! Inside Hogwarts castle they have a pretty intense ride. It makes it feel like you are flying with Harry during a Quidditch match. Crazy awesome…until you run into the Dementors, at which point I closed my eyes and grabbed my ears while repeating “It’s not real, It’s not real” hahaha! Yeah….I’m kind of a scaredy cat, but like I said it feels so real!

We will be posting another wedding on one of our favorite couples “Elise and Matt” Very soon…and we are Excited about it, they were great. Until then, Happy Summer, See ya soon and Go Gryffindor!!!

Kaitlin and Greg – Guntersville, AL Wedding Photography

Hello Again Friends!

We love this couple, you may remember them from their engagement post not so long ago. they are so sweet and fun, and their wedding fit them perfectly! Kaitlin did a great job designing all the details and super kudos to her Aunt for her flower work! Unfortunately, Guntersville, AL was hit pretty hard by the tornados this past April, so a lot of the trees and even part of the railing at the ceremony was destroyed….lucky it didn’t effect their wedding, and everything turned out fantastic.

Our favorite part was of course the CAKE, haha…It came from our pals at Main Event Catering who always do a great job, and make it taste like heaven!! Next to the sweets on the list was getting to meet a cool guy Austin Jennings who sang at the reception. Kaitlin and Greg had him covering Amos Lee, Gavin DeGraw, Death Cab, and tons of others. The music was perfect. All together a wonderful wedding with tasty cake and great tunes, we loved it!

Had to get a picture of this creepy creature….weird looking

Ice sculpture!

This is what the Guntersville State Park looked like from the back window of the reception area…..sad/creepy

Serendipity3 in Las Vegas = yum!

Hello Everyone!

We have another little post on an “eatery” we are in love with before our barrage of wedding post take over 🙂
This is a place we love to go in Las Vegas called Serendipity 3. They have the coolest location on the strip, right in front of Caesar’s Palace in the middle of all the action! The design is so whimsical and “Alice in Wonderland”  (which oddly enough tied into the Wedding we were shooting there) Their portions are bigger than life,  including our favorite part….Dessert!!! We get the “Can’t Say No” Sundae that’s a mix of almost all the best desserts put into one bowl…Genius/Delicious, lets call it Genilicious!!
We ate “real” food this time too, haha…a Steak Sandwich, which was super good too of course.

Check out the photos below, and look out for our newest wedding post coming later this week…We’re really excited about them.
Thanks for reading and viewing,
Whitney – (signature serves as notice for poor grammar and spelling, haha)
