Whimsical Kentucky Winery Wedding – Claire & “Bear”

Hey Hey,

Claire and Barrett (aka Bear) had their whimsical meets vintage winery themed wedding at “Castle View” (which you’ll see why they call it that in a second) near Lexington, KY. If you’ve never been to been to Lexington for a wedding or not, you need to go folks…especially when they have their 5/3rd pavilion street party. We had the best coffee/bourbon flavored ice cream in history there, and a ton of fun to go with it. The next day (per the usual) we went for a run before the wedding, and this time it was on the campus of The University of Kentucky and I got to fulfill a lifelong dream of running out of the players tunnel and on a real life SEC football field, no one was there (but I subconsciously heard the crowd screaming my jersey number and name, haha)

Then of course we started the day by meeting up with the full of life and gorgeously fun Claire at the hotel before “shooting” 😉 😉 over to the ceremony and first look sight at Castle View Winery. Claire is also a photographer so we naturally hit it off from the start (follow her instagram @clairemarie2327) and her wedding top to bottom was a blast. Hope you guys dig the images and can’t wait to share more Very soon from more amazing couples we’re lucky enough to hang out with and capture their memoires.

London England Engagement Session Photography

Hey Folks!

Not only was our time in Scotland shooting a wedding amazing, but this “walk around” London Engagement session in England was just as fun. We had a blast sight seeing with this couple and taking some photos along the way 🙂

Thank goodness they were troopers and hung in there with us through some freakish weather changes that afternoon in  London. It went from super sunny and warm to, POURING RAIN and then a bit of sheet, then back to sunny….super crazy, and try and imagine all the camera work to handle that in a busy city with a couple, sheesh…haha

Hope you enjoy and we’ll be bombard your feed with post like crazy this/next week so prepare to refresh your browsers friends 😉

Love & High fives – GJP

Whimsical Scotland Wedding – Stirling Castle, Scotland UK

Hey There!

Boy oh Boy do we have a doozey for ya’ll today. One of our bucket list things to do as photographers (maybe even people) was officially checked off after this “Whimsical Scottish Heritage Wedding” shoot in Stirling, Scotland UK. We virtually met the ladies of Be Eventful about a year ago and ever since then they’ve been trying to get us to come to Scotland to shoot…thank goodness they finally convinced us! 🙂 Scotland….wow what can we say? How about breathtaking, unique, whimsical….we were completely taken by it. So funny how castles and 200+ year old houses are found more often than not there and the Scotts seem to be so used to it! Haha not for us southern folks. Our house is about 100 years old and we thought that was cool…doesn’t even compare! Not to mention our friends, Claire and Nikki of Be Eventful were the coolest, most hospitable people we’ve probably ever met. We were immediately greeted with the most traditional of Scottish foods as soon as we arrived. Jams, sandwiches and my favorite…tablet! I’m still not positive what it is or how to make it but oh good golly I swallowed the thing whole! haha. We learned cool things from them like what a “jam piece” is and the difference between American “pants” and Scottish “pants”! Haha the language difference was hilarious. Took us about 24 hours for our ears and brains to adjust to their fast paced accents!

Claire and Nikki put together this awesome styled wedding photo session for us while we were there including 2 brides, beautiful tweed jackets, boots, and thistle! It oozed everything Scottish! They are truly 2 very talented girls and we are so grateful for their friendship and love!

Tennis Engagement Session – Unique Wedding Photography

Hey Hey!!

Quick post today on a super sweet couple that wanted to go for a “timeless tennis themed” engagement session. They flirted and fell in love with tennis as a backdrop, so thought it was only appropreaite to have it as a theme to their engagement session. Plus, what better way to get your photo nerves out than just playing a game with the person you love!!

Kinda wish the world was a little less advanced sometimes..I love the look of the old rackets, etc…

Hope you guys enjoy and can’t wait to share our sessions and experience from Scotland and England in the next few days!!! Whoop Whoop.

Love, and High Fives – GJP
