Howdy Friends!
Boy, do we have a good’un today 😉 This super unique, vintage barn theme wedding in central Michigan (near Lansing, MI) was amazing. We were lucky enough to do both photography and film for Carissa and Ryan’s whimsical wedding day. They did such a great job of incorporating their interest into their once in a lifetime wedding day and decor to create a beautiful story to capture. Ryan is a writer, so naturally all the flowers and center pieces where from poems he had written to her, then made by Carissa into bouquet’s, etc..Genius…and the personal touch doesn’t stop there. Their ceremony was so sweet and unique, with readings of poems (one of which Ryan wrote for Carissa that is in the film below) gorgeously played blue grass tunes, and rotating self written vows…Loved it! The Barn reception wasn’t to shabby either, loads of coffee, food, microbrews and dancing…perfection
Overall, I think the best thing is that we got to go full circle with this wonderful couple. It’s hard to believe how fast time flies from their gorgeous engagement photos in the fall near Detroit Michigan (click HERE to see that post) to now…We’ve become great friends, and absolutely love that we get to capture and share these special memories with our couples. We are so grateful for all of you, and can’t wait to share more wedding bliss soon from our other travels this year.
