We are so excited to share some of this wedding with you guys. It honestly has to be one of our favorites of the year, and holds a special place in our hearts.
So, first let us say a few things about getting to capture this once in a lifetime day for Paul and Nikki and the time we spent with them. It was amazing/charming/motivating and we’ve rarely seen two people more enamored with each other and in love than these two. Many of you may know the names of Paul McDonald and Nikki Reed, but the people they are, are so much more worth knowing. They welcomed us in to every event and phase of their wedding to not only document it but to be a part of it. We had an absolute blast spending time with them and sharing this moment (and hopefully more in the future) with them, and it was truly a blessing, so a big Thank You to you both for letting us in, and being who you are…We love you.
OK, OK, enough of our gushing, Here’s the details and stuff we loved about their wonderful weddingWe met them to start filming their “mini-movie” at the quick rehearsal at the wedding venue Saddlerock Ranch the day before, followed by a small family hang/jam BBQ. The BBQ was so much fun. We ate some good southern cooked food, drank some brews and got a family jam on with all of Paul’s guitars at one point, awesome. Before the sun went down Paul and Nikki threw around some song ideas, and watching the two of them sing together was one of the more romantic life/musical things we’ve watched. They sang one of the songs in the video called “Take Me to The Highway”, which is a song Paul wrote about Nikki, and we can’t get it out of our heads….So, make sure you check out/and buy their first actual demo together (which is already listed as a top-ten wedding song of the year) called “Now That I’ve Found You” HERE
The next day we met Nikki to catch her getting all dolled up in her gorgeous Tacori Diamond covered dress at the “Le Chateau” a round stone lodge with great views of the surrounding valley (and plenty of light, which we love) at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, California…Saddlerock Ranch was awesome, and has everything from zebras to airstream trailers all set in and around the mountains, pond, and vineyard…Definitely one of the coolest locations for a wedding we’ve heard of/been to…at close to sunset Paul came in with the groomsmen to the Chateau to get ready in another room in his super awesome Hugo Boss suit. Then, the hill top ceremony in the vineyard (amazing)…After the ceremony we corralled the very popular newlyweds and drove off into the hills to visit the zebras, yaks, and camels for a while and catch our breathe from the chaos of the day before heading into the reception in the center of the vineyard where they had a food truck dinner and reception. The venue hosted the bar with the actual wine made there and of course Paul had some of his favorite beers by the keg tooThe reception was so much fun, everyone danced like crazy, ate, drank and were merry for sure.
Thank you all for being our pals, friends, followers or clients
(due to the sensitive nature of the people involved we aren’t posting the video, and limiting the number of photos released)
