Mary Kat & Andrew – Vintage Florida Wedding Photography

Hello Friends!

This was by far a wedding for the Glass Jar record books….First off let us say that Mary Kat & Andrew were among two of the sweetest/kind hearted/in love with each other people we’ve been lucky enough to photograph in a while, such a pleasure/blessing to get to capture their big day 🙂 Now for the “record book day”, well we had a wonderful night out in Ft. Lauderdale the night before and day of at the beach, which was a much needed day off. Check out the (day off post) here: http://glassjarphotography.com/blog/2011/10/south-florida-a-day-off/

Then the day of the wedding came. We met Mary Kat and Andrew at a little white chapel outside Ft. Lauderdale for all the getting ready/bridal/groomal/etc pics and it was awesome!!! Perfect weather, and pretty people…loved it 😉 After that we drove a few miles to the actual ceremony site, which was a HUGE church with AWESOME lighting. This was hands down the coolest wedding processional I’ve ever seen. Andrew is an artist (check him out here: http://www.andrewehrenzeller.com/) and he sang a song to “open the show” with dancers making their way to the stage (So Cool)…. Then, Coldplay’s “Fix You” played over the sound system at full volume as the wedding party made their way in. Once the song hits the climax Mary Kat turns the corner and walks up the isle. “Powerfully Beautiful” doesn’t even come close to describing it. After the ceremony we went to an Awesome downtown reception at a Historical Home/Museum…Amazing wedding…..Here’s the other story of the day and subtext to the “record day”. While we took some of the pics of the bridal party before the ceremony, we sat 1 of our camera bags down as we walked across the street to take a photo….turns out that was a bad idea and some random hooligan drove by and stole it!!! Thank God we had another bag with most of our lenses and CF cards in it or we would have more upset than we already were…Mary Kat and Andrew were so understanding and comforting, it was unbelievable. Their entire family/wedding party were so supportive too that we started to feel bad that we may be taking some of the focus off them, but not the case. This couple was extraordinary, and so were their friends and family for checking on us, praying with us, and patting us on the back. We will never be able to tell you all how much we appreciated everything you did….Long story short, we had to have Bethany’s mom fax a copy of her Passport to the Florida TSA to get us back home, and the goof who stole our stuff pawned it so we will get most of it back!! YEAH!!!

Hope you guys enjoy this post as much as we do, and make sure to check out the video at the end of the post too! 🙂
Thanks,
GJP
