Caitlin and Michael – a J. Crew Wedding (Vero Beach, FL)

Well…here it is! Our most recent wedding in Vero Beach, FL. We had such an amazing time on our trip. Spent the first whole day shopping and hitting up all the outlets. Funniest story of the whole trip….we go to the Ralph Lauren outlet in Orlando and they’re having this huge sale. So Whitney’s in the dressing room with a pile of clothes and I am sifting through the store looking for stuff I can make him try on. I come across this awesome pair of grey pants, size 8, only pair left. I thought to myself, “size 8? Sounds weird for a man’s size” but it was in the men’s section so I figured that it must be men’s pants. Take them to the dressing room, give them to Whitney to try on and PERFECT FIT! He looked awesome, so of course we decided to get them. Get up to the register to pay and the lady who rings us up says “Man I love these pants! I keep looking for them in my size but can’t find them” hahahahaha. YES! They’re girl pants and YES! Whitney can fit a size 8 (which kind of depresses me haha) and YES! He still bought them and wore them to the wedding the next day haha. I have the best husband ever….so manly to be wearing such girly clothes πŸ˜‰

We drove down to Vero Beach after our shopping adventure and made it to our beachside hotel, ate at Mulligan’s (which was fabulous for breakfast and dinner might I add) and then it was off to bed for the wedding the next day. The day of the wedding we get up and take a walk on the beach and pick up sea shells and sea rocks for the ring shots. See a rabbit! Apparently beach rabbits are common there, but the beaches that we usually go to on family vacations are in the Gulf of Mexico and I have never seen a rabbit like that! We actually saw several rabbits. Tried to feed one, tried to pet one…all unsuccessful attempts πŸ™

We met our bride and groom (Caitlin and Michael) atΒ Costa d’Este and then it was non stop pictures for the rest of the day. EVERYTHING about their wedding was J. Crew from Caitlins wedding dress, to her shoes, to the bridesmaids dresses, to Michael’s and the groomsmen’s suits. They love J. Crew so much that Caitlin even spotted that the pants that I was wearing were not only from there, but she nailed the style name of them too! Pretty impressive Caitlin! πŸ™‚ They had a catholic wedding, which was actually our first one. It was pretty cool. Lots of standing, sitting…standing again. Unlike any wedding I’ve been to. Reception was awesome! It was at the Sea Oaks Beach Club right on the beach. Instead of having a wedding cake, Caitlin’s sister hand made all these different flavored bundt cakes. Not sure how she found the time to do it, but they were delicious and very unique.Β As for the guests…well they were WILD! Most exciting dance party we’ve been to in a while (see pictures below haha). Everyone was great and even the older people were joining in on the party! Lovely people…lovely wedding. Caitlin had help from florist and wedding planner Lara with Lara’s Theme based out of Vero Beach and the best DJ we’ve heard to date, RJ Vida!! Loved him! We made a short little movie of our day with everyone and posted it at the bottom of this post so be sure to check it out!

Each bridesmaid had her own unique hair piece. Loved that they all didn’t match πŸ™‚

So they have a thing for Ray-Bans. They even had special party favor glasses for the bridal party…and we got some too! Made my day

Notice our lovely sea rock from our walk that morning. That’s one cool looking rock πŸ™‚

Lilly pads in the pool! πŸ™‚

Sooooo this flower really didn’t have anything to do with their wedding, but it was sitting on the bookcase at the reception and I thought it was too pretty not to get a picture of haha

This was a nifty little party favor…it’s a fortune teller fish. I guess a good way to describe it would be like a mood ring fish? You’re supposed to put it in your hand and depending on what it does it tells your fortune haha

Ok brace yourselves! Dance party is about to begin and boy oh boy do these people have moves! Β Yes…that’s the bartender there on the dance floor. Didn’t take them too long before they had drug her out on the dance floor!

This should get an award for the longest conga line ever. Started on the dance floor, then snaked around the room, then made it’s way outside, around the pool and back in!

This guy!! haha Well here’s the story. Dance party is obviously going on all around us. Then someone thinks it’s a great idea to get the photographers to dance (which would be cool if we had moves but unfortunately that’s just not the case haha). So while we’re attempting to boogie this guy takes our camera to take a picture of us….he was hilarious! Kept spinning around in circles taking pictures (we included the collage of pictures he took below this one) looking so happy! haha
